Speed Reduction Pilot Project - Draft Policy

That Administration prepare a draft policy for consideration by Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, with a process neighbourhoods can use to apply to City Council through Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for speed reduction pilot projects or permanent speed reductions in their neighbourhoods, which includes provisions for education of the project.

1. That Administration provide a report to Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on speed management strategies that can achieve the objectives of improving safety in neighbourhoods, including road engineering, speed enforcement, education plans, school and park zones, and traffic calming measures.

LRT Downtown - Change Order - Consultant Appointment

That an amendment to the agreement with Steer Davies Gleave in an amount not to exceed $100,000 plus GST, for a revised total of approximately $2.2 million plus GST, for concept planning and engineering of the Downtown LRT be approved, and that the agreement be in a form and content acceptable to the City Manager.
