D. Beaudry, Deputy City Clerk, called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.

 

D. Beaudry, Deputy City Clerk, called for nominations for the position of Chair, Community and Public Services Committee.

 

Councillor B. Esslinger nominated Councillor S. Hamilton for the position of Chair, Community and Public Services Committee.

 

D. Beaudry, Deputy City Clerk asked if there were any further nominations. There being no other nominations,
D. Beaudry declared nominations closed.

A handout provided by E. Teslyk was distributed to Members of the Committee and a copy was filed with the Office of the City Clerk.

 

N. Jacobsen, Office of the City Manager (Law); R. Smyth, Deputy City Manager, Citizen Services; D. Hales, L. Peter and W. Ramirez, Urban Form and Corporate Strategic Development, answered the Committee's questions.

1.    That Administration engage with WAVE and other relevant stakeholders to explore increased safety measures for users of transportation services in Edmonton, including but not limited to vehicles for hire and ETS, and return to Committee.
